“Remember, remember the 5th of November,

gunpowder treason and plot.  I see no reason. why gunpowder treason should ever be forgot.”

Today is the 5th November, also know as Bonfire Night,  Guy Fawkes Day and Firework Night.

Across England Scotland and Wales this past weekend the skies were lit up in most Villages, Town and Cities with fireworks galore and huge bonfires.

On this crisp autumn night we eat toffee apples, congregate with family and friends around a huge bonfire then watch the most incredible display of fireworks to celebrate the 5th November.  While it might just seem as a great opportunity to see friends and enjoy the fireworks this night is shrouded in History.

Quite simply! Its the anniversary of an attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament.  You can read more about it  here

I’m all for dark, cozy nights at home right now so lighting candles is perfect for my autumn nights in.

Stay safe and warm this November 5th and once you get home, relax and light up autumns most luxurious candles.

Best wishes,

Lea
