Candle Safety

Looking after your Barr & Harbor candle

The first time you light your Barr and Harbor candle please burn until the wax melts to the edge of the vessel.  By doing this you will maximize your burn time, keep the soy wax smooth and promote a fully even burn.

Always keep your Barr and Harbor Candle within sight.  Never leave unattended when lit.

Trim wooden wick before relighting to ¼ inch.  This will prevent the flame becoming too large

Please do not burn your candle near anything flammable.  Keep Burning candles away from drafts, vents, and air currents.

Place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface.

Do not burn your candle all the way down, when a ½ inch of wax remains please extinguish.

Barr and Harbor candles should not be burned for over 4 hours at a time.

Extinguish candle if flame becomes too high or gets too close to the vessel.

Keep candles at least 3 inches apart from one another

Candles should not be used as a nightlight.  Extinguish before going to sleep.
